Radio is getting rebooted

Hello guys,

I have a 2008 S550 and I’m located in California.

The radio screen sometimes restarts by itself — more often when the car has been sitting in the heat, or if I turn it off and start it again soon after. Xentry doesn’t show any error codes, the only complaint is about the phone cable (I’ll attach the full Xentry report in this post).

Could someone please share the contact of a mechanic who could help me online?

Thanks in advance, everyone!

S500
you have plenty of faults listed - I bet a dealership wanted $10,000 to make that lot go away

most would cry wolf and hide for a few months if you bought a battery for the boot and drained the swamp from under the carpets

lots of clues in there suggesting canbus (water ingress issues) and or dying battery - but of course it will reboot and go silly more and more as the radio and integral amp in the boot gives up

Rear SAM should be flashed with an update - and possibly the front - and the servicing is crap as the engine ECU should have been flashed during warranty with an update in 2008 some 17 years ago !!!

Thank you for the response, Are you the owner of benzninja?
I wander if just replacing the amplifier can fix it?
