S350 Engine light: P0022 & P0025
Recently after a service the check engine light appeared with the following codes P0022 and P0025.
Does anyone know if this is an easy fix?
Cheers.

I just replaced all mine as three of four were wet of oil in the harness’s. I ordered new sensors from FPC Euro.
Pull the connectors off the sensors to see if you have this problem.
Could be something else too.

M272 those codes are for intake and exhaust camshaft adjustment/incorrect position on left side bank.
What was done to the car recently?
P0025 - "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)
hard starting
poor idle
stalling
Incorrect camshaft timing
Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)
of course could be the dodgy idler worn out due to the one in the V as ealry cars had them made of untempered chocolate
but a less painful one if lucky could be the sensors made of Swiss cheese
To clarify, just a regular routine maintenance was done which involved tire pressure, and fluid changes.
The car starts and drives perfect, the engine light periodically comes off and on.

My M272 engine has 160,000 miles. I had one small oil leak on the passenger side which was solved by replacing one of the cam sensors o-rings.
Without additional harnesses installed:
With harnesses installed:
there was an update to tell the car to be more tolerant and later sensors that actually did something - if no one bothered with those changes its no much surprise
don't think servicing has any bearing on a german car lasting - its little to do with it - blatant profiteering / global destruction of society is their end game and their products are part of the problem
