S500 New Calipers Paint options.
No indication of anything wrong in the performance of the brakes except for a break wear light until I went to remove the pads. Only 3 of the 4 pistons would retract, one being totally frozen. Not even full pedal pressure can shift it.
I have purchased a pair of new genuine calipers. I know this might seem to be overkill, but the piston is frozen enough to have bent the pad backing and retaining pins so replacement is more cost effective than trying to get the caliper overhauled (and the time involved). I bought a pair because it would be insanity to only replace one caliper. Also the MoT (annual inspection) is coming up in a couple of months, so belts and braces makes sense... New discs, pads, calipers and hoses along with a fluid change should see the tester happy.
They're unfinished, so are going to require coating. I'm thinking a couple of coats of high temperature clear gloss just to protect them🤔

I used Rust-Oleum Hi Temp. Not sure if that's available in your locale. Has held-up well.
