Base model, leather or MBTex dash/door panels
MB rep claims the dash and door panels on the standard 550 are leather, I call bs and think they are MBTex.
It wasn't perfectly clear to me from the website.
any ideas?

seems to me that if it was leather, they would not hesitate to tout the extensive leather usage

It's definitely MB-tex / Artico for non-Exclusive Napa leather and Designo interiors. Even the regular Napa leather option has Artico door and dash materials.

I am 99% sure it's MB tex. I remember seeing on my s63 order guide that only exclusive nappa interior made the dash and door panels leather with the diamond stitching pattern.
I would guess that if the s63 is MB tex standard, the same would be true on the 550.

I didn't know that even on nappa interiors the door panels were MBTEX. Does this not annoy anyone else? I have standard leather and the center armrest is mbtex and it bugs the heck out of me...in my W221 with premium nappa, everything is nappa - seats, door panels, and the center armrest.
