Afternoon with the new S-class
On a side (geek) note, figured out how to get the car to accomodate a Chromecast dongle without having to run wires all over the place. That excited me the most heh.

BTW, I've been meaning to ask you about your dealer experience in the DFW area. What is about them that made you switch over to Georgetown?
This car has so much attention do detail it is absolutely insane. The seats are wonderful (comfort and design wise), the interior is laid out beautifully providing a nice balance between tech savvy and elegant, and the COMMAND system/instrument cluster displays are a very nice touch and seem to make the car feel a lot more "sophisticated" - if you will.
I should note upon sitting in it for the first time, the car feels a lot wider than the outgoing W221. I believe this is partially because of the bigger COMMAND and instrument cluster screens which result in a wider illusion of the overall dash but nonetheless, the car felt a bit bigger in that sense - which I liked.
One thing I must point out that I really didn't like was the center armrest lid and surrounding area. On the 221s, it was a nicer leather-like material but on the 222 it felt almost rubber-ish - and looked it too, since there was no texture to it. Not a deal breaker or anything to be up in arms about by any means, it was just a little disappointment I noticed.
Bottom line, the car is outstanding - MB did a phenomenal job with this sedan. You really need to see it in person to appreciate the detail and quality of workmanship that went into it. I can barely wait for the 4MATIC's to get here.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Couldn't imagine getting a car without napa or exclusive napa/Designo.

I just think the guy at MB Plano was clueless and rude. He was telling me he can get me a S550 by March as he has 40 people in line - little that he knew mine is on a ship right now. He was also bad mouthing every single option the demo has and was plainly misinformed. I mentioned the demo had Nappa leather - he touched the leather and said yes - the pattern is different and I can tell that from outside the car.

My internal goal is 2K off. I know that's a lot considering this is a hot new car. But like you said....never hurts to try.
by haggling.....and haggling...........I feel no shame either.......
anyone know where the house money and the salesman money meet?
trying to figure out just how much the actual salesman has to work with and when he starts cutting into his personal profit.......

Good to see someone has had success.
