release date was to have been today (11/20). for some reason such has been delayed. anyone know any cause of delay or when new release date is likely?

I tried to order S63 with H10 carbon trim, it's on back order with no avail date. Wonder if there are supply issues?

i had the same issue at first. i placed my order months ago and my dealer gave me a build date of nov 20 (coincidentally it would have been today). i noticed on the build that the trim was changed to burl walnut when i ordered H10. dealer tried changing it but was told it wasn't available so i had to wait. A few weeks later i emailed to check in and luckily the h10 trim was put through so i have a completion date of dec 10. the only change was the production was supposed to start on 12/10 but got updated to be complete by 12/10, so i guess they bumped it up a couple of days.

i haven't heard anything since checking in last week. so i expect that no news is good news. i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that nothing goes awry in the next couple of weeks and the car is complete as ordered.

personally i'm not sure what the issue is as piano black and carbon fiber aren't new trims so it's a little surprising there's supply issues but that seems to be the problem fulfilling orders

my suggestion is to ask your dealer to try to add the trim every week or so and see if it goes through. that's what i experienced at least.

most options seem to be available at this time. my problem is that my car docks the 22nd and the release date for the S63 has been changed from the 22nd to an indefinite date. anyone else facing this quandary? this is a decision of mbna, so your local dealer has no control and may even be out of the information loop.

I haven't heard about a delay so I can't comment on that. The owner of my dealership took my original allocation (10/20) when i released it due to the trim and I just checked with him yesterday. He heard nothing about a delay so I can only base my opinion on what he's told me to date.

I'm going to place a post on the AMG private lounge and see what i get back.

so here is a message i got directly from the Asst. Product Manager for AMG and Black Series here in the US 20 minutes ago.

"The cars are going to start heading to the dealers any moment now...we really wanted to have them heading there on monday (18th) but with a launch there can always be something that delays you a couple of days...so you have nothing to worry about..."

This is the latest info I could get from someone who is in the loop.

If your car is docking tomorrow, I think you will be in good shape getting it as planned
