i haven't heard anything since checking in last week. so i expect that no news is good news. i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that nothing goes awry in the next couple of weeks and the car is complete as ordered.
personally i'm not sure what the issue is as piano black and carbon fiber aren't new trims so it's a little surprising there's supply issues but that seems to be the problem fulfilling orders
my suggestion is to ask your dealer to try to add the trim every week or so and see if it goes through. that's what i experienced at least.

most options seem to be available at this time. my problem is that my car docks the 22nd and the release date for the S63 has been changed from the 22nd to an indefinite date. anyone else facing this quandary? this is a decision of mbna, so your local dealer has no control and may even be out of the information loop.

so here is a message i got directly from the Asst. Product Manager for AMG and Black Series here in the US 20 minutes ago.
"The cars are going to start heading to the dealers any moment now...we really wanted to have them heading there on monday (18th) but with a launch there can always be something that delays you a couple of days...so you have nothing to worry about..."
This is the latest info I could get from someone who is in the loop.
If your car is docking tomorrow, I think you will be in good shape getting it as planned
