Tracking and disabling an new W222?
I just ordered a new 2014 S550 to replace my 2012 S550 and after too many attempted thefts, I am getting serious about catching the *******s. They were here 3 times in 5 days in November and even got into my wife's Cayenne one night. On another occasion I saw them on camera (after the fact unfortunately) walking up the driveway with an electronic box and unlocked my Mercedes and gained access. They could not start it though. It is just a matter of time before they get one of my vehicles and I am looking to install a good tracker (that also uses cellular triangulation, in case they have a GPS jammer) and a vehicle disabler (which I know could be dangerous or illegal if it goes off accidentally while I am driving)? Anyone have any ideas, or am I going to have to build one myself? If you want to get sick I have attached a few of the videos here: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVcT...2tDPARw/videos
Thanks.
Joe

OPTION 2: show videos to local authorities and urge surveillance due to frequency of criminal activity. Maybe even a bait car. If you do not get cooperation from authorities - see Option 1
I had it in my g63. Never needed it.
You won't be able to track it but cops can in case it is stolen
But they also have an early detection service (more money)where you get an alert (phone, text, email) if your car is moved without a key fob that you carry. I believe this is immediate.
You may be able to work it into your deal in the '14. I got a huge discount so I figured why not.
And in all seriousness maybe you can put a lawn sign that says your cars are equipped with LoJack. Like security companies do. I wonder if that's a deterrent.
