W222 S400 Hybrid or BiTurbo updates

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about the future confirmed engines for the W222 ? Any S400 Hybrid or maybe the new 3.0L bi-turbo that would be available on the E-Klasse starting with MY2015 ?

For US market right ? Because judging about the column titles written in German and the S 500 BE* euro model I'm not sure

Right. This is simply the full engine list available for the W222. It shows that the 400 Hybrid model exists, but not V6TT version.

The 500 BE (Blue Efficiency) is the US 550 version.

Given the upscale marketing for the W222 in the US and more higher-end models coming (600, Pullman, S-Class Coupe), I would expect no low-end version to make it to the US anytime soon. I am thinking the 500 Hybrid Plus may be a great candidate for the US.
That car is incredibly efficient. Half the consumption of the 400 Hybrid, it delivers something like 75mpg! and 0-60 in 5.4 sec. in the new S-Class.

Any non AMG Mercedes with direct injection and/or turbos has been called a BlueEfficiency model since the 2012 model year, it is really just marketing tag nothing more. If you notice most 2012 cars had the BE badge on their sides.
