QR Code

I wonder if a current owner can scan the QR code on your B pillar or in your gas door? I am curious what URL comes up for the car.

It should be generic model info for first responders. Please share the URL if you don't mind.

Thanks
Tom

Why do you think the QR code would give any URL? Isn't it likely a replacement of a bar code, with more info but the same purpose.

EDIT: my point was that not all QR codes are URLs, not at all. An example here.

QR codes have data embedded in them. Frequently, it is a URL. If someone scans their Mercedes QR code, it should open a browser to a given URL. A typical QR code only has about 30 bytes so the data is typically a shortened URL. Given the URL, anyone can access the data in their browser.

Interesting, one of those intended for rescue people.

The car is full of QR codes identifying spare parts but this is quite different, I was not aware of it. Will have to check if older MBs have something similar. If not, might be worth adding one.
