That would be much easier than finding these VIN codes. I did not know that anyone can figure out which vehicles are on-board the ship.

EPC does not have this new vehicles listed but they appear at TIPS.

Sorry about the acronyms, EPC is the electronic parts catalogue. You can read the vehicle data card from EPC but the "public" one does not cover newly built cars.

TIPS provides up-to-date repair information. It also has a data card database which includes pretty newly built cars.

The links are for European customers. StartekInfo is the equivalent for US customers except that I'm not sure if TIPS is part of WIS there or if it is an independent service.

Ok, found out yesterday that it was too late for me to add the HUD option on my 2015 S Class order. Also found out that the car starts its actual build tomorrow the 7th. My salesperson tells me she should have a completion date within a few days.

Well my car is built and I have a VIN for it. Very exciting, now the wait to see when it will actually ship and when MB releases pricing for 2015.

Vehicle Processing Center it is where they prep the car for delivery to dealer.

Ah, got it. So she did not tell me where the car is going to be held. But I should find out soon if the car ships and plan on tracking it if possible. Next time I speak with her I will see if she knows. It sounded like it might be a 2015 issue and MB not releasing them before a certain date, whatever that might be.

Great news guys and gals. My 2015 S Class 4Matic is on a ship. Have not found out which one, but my salesperson tells me it should be here by end of May. So all of you wondering when 2015's would be released might have an answer soon.

My 2015 S550 V4 is now at the VPC in Carson California. Hopefully dealer gets it any day now.
Still bummed I couldn't add the HUD in time, but oh well, got everything else I wanted. Can't wait to see what the Lunar Blue Metallic looks like on an S. Only saw it on an E Class.

Does anybody know if really takes the dealer 7-10 days to process the car after it arrives at the dealership?

It does not take 7-10 at the dealership. Of course this certainly does depend on the dealership and their availability to deliver the car to you. My car was delivered to the dealership one morning and I picked it up the following morning. The dealership needs the time to wash the car and do a pre-delivery inspection which can be done relatively quickly but this all depends on the dealership's manpower.

My S is on the way to the dealership from the VPC and my salesperson told me once it arrives, 1 day to prep.
