what kind of extra's will you buy?

Will be interesting to hear what you think. We noticed a significant increase in wind noise as a result of having the roof rack attached along with two bike carriers. Wondering if the roof rack was the main part of the wind noise or if it was the bike carriers or a combination of both.

Since I live in warm and sunny Florida I just put the car in the sun for an hour to warm it up and then I use my finger tips to carefully and slowly pull at a corner of a letter/number and watch the adhesive slowly pull away from the paint. 80-90% of the adhesive will usually remove. If it comes away that clean I will then use rubbing alcohol on a decent microfiber to GENTLY soften and work the remaining residue, DON'T scrub! Scrubbing with a paper towel or even a cheap microfiber can introduce some micro marring/swirls.
This entire process on the S550 took me 5-7 minutes.
Be sure to apply a coat of wax or sealant on that area as the rubbing alcohol does remove any paint sealant/wax that may have been there.

I have the black on espresso brown s550 4matic....live in New England (boston area) and have weathertech floormats. Looked at the OEM but I just feel WT does a better job. However, I am going to buy a OEM trunk cargo mat- like the look better. Right now I have my detailing bag and added small items such as Mercedes lockable tire valve stem caps (amazon) and seat covers for passengers after a workout, bad weather etc... Also, going to add an escort passport max detector. Thought about a dash cam but install is holding me back...
I want to grab the roof rack (biking and ski mount)...how much did the basic carrier run you, any idea how much the other items were. Also, were they readily available in store or did you have to order?
Thanks!

the S racks were around 400, maybe a little more; forgot exactly.....they did have to order them, only took a couple of days to receive however.......they look really good on the car IMO.....(E racks were about half that lol)
the coffin was around 800 if I recall: currently at the beach and the racks and CAN worked great on the road; the wind noise isn't too bad going 80, but does become noticeable when the sunshade opens: the sunroof does NOT open while the racks are on.....as far as the truck matt, I've not yet seen one, I still use the MB collapsible cargo boxes

I have the Escort Passport Max mounted on the dash with its sticky cup on the windshield. I run a straight cord under the dash center speaker, right side running down into the fuse box.
Keep in mind that the GPS reception on the Escort Passport Max is hit or miss. Mostly a miss for me on short drives under 20 miles. The IR reflected windshield plays havoc on the GPS part. On our trade in, 2009 E320, the Max worked perfectly. So I know it the windshield. The radar works fine but you'll get previously marked false alerts till the GPS reception kicks in.
If I ever need to replace my windshield, it won't be with the IR coating.

been waiting since delivery for a hard copy of the owners manual: while visiting dealer yesterday for a small issue, the shop foreman said he's print one out for me
beats the hell out of scrolling through the version in the car: or sitting in front of my computer reading it in PDF

Besides that I find it more comfortable reading the owner's manual and sipping my coffee rather than using tablets or anything in pdf format .You know what I mean shuffling the pages is priceless
