Glad to see Mercedes is moving the headquarters to Atlanta. Their offices in New Jersey were one of the nightmare spots to pick-up and deliver cars. It's as if they never thought they'd have cars picked up and delivered from there. This news along with their new VPC in Long Beach will certainly make my life just a little easier.

This is not good. Very disappointing.
It is very disappointing and I would bet dollars to donuts it's because they are overwhelmed at the factory--not to mention the dealerships. When we think of the number of completely new vehicles they have brought to market just in the last year, the number of problems that are probably associated with doing so much in such a short amount of time and all the stuff still backed up in the pipeline, it's amazing that much of anything gets done there. A few years ago, with just a little nudge from your dealer, this part would have been hand walked through the system and you would have had it in two weeks or less. Better yet, it would have been in stock here in the U.S.
I think it might be time for MB to have more than one auto division. As GM has Chevy, Buick and Cadillac, so should MB have different divisions and different dealerships. Everything E Class and above at existing dealerships, everything below at new dealerships. Honestly, does a customer in a new S really have to wait in line behind some guy in a Smart Car for service? This idea is just off the top of my head, but our luxury ownership experience is getting watered down with the launch of every new "SomethingLA."

Now being told end of February. That will be a 3 month wait.
On a more positive note, my new headrest cushions seem to be making progress.

This past November, on the same day we ordered my new S550, we ordered a new E350 Luxury Sedan for my wife. We specified the Nappa Leather interior. Well, yesterday, the car arrived, but without the Nappa interior. The dealer said that when they went to enter the order, they were not "allowed" to order the Nappa Leather. They apologized for not informing us of this back then, saying it was an oversight. When I asked them if they could order the car with the Nappa now, they said they just tried and couldn't. In addition, using the nationwide locater, they did a search and there is not one E350 sedan in the system with Nappa Leather, leading them to believe that the option has never been available, even though it has been on the MB "Build" website since last November and still is today. This is the kind of unprofessional service MB is giving their customers these days, as they stumble all over themselves trying to be everything to everybody. If, perhaps, there had been one less "Something LA" model, we might have our new E the way we wanted it and your steering wheel part would have been in place months ago. Just saying.

Sorry to hear that! It is always something with this company.
My dealer just called me yesterday after placing the order in DECEMBER and stating that I could not have a stand alone option for heated steering wheel (it was right there on the build website!)
This small $500 option delayed the order process, and I honestly thought the car was coming in Feb 25th as promised. Now the date went to late March-early April. I cancelled my order, and going for something from another dealership's inventory. I really wanted a "personalized" car but the dealership ruined the whole experience.

Lots of times it's the game dealership plays by not being honest and making stuff as they go along.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience! They knew they messed up and were just being reactive like most dealerships. They just hope that since you waited you would simply take it anyway. I just checked. There were NO restrictions on Nappa leather, none.
If you did not accept the E Class, there is a new refresh for 2016 anyway. The 2015 was an extremely short run. Mercedes is adding NTG 5 and updating the buttons and interior for 2016.
You should be able to place your order for a late March production slot.

I agree, that my dealer was just covering his posterior and REALLY wanted me to take the wrongly ordered car that came in. It was loaded and not a typical "inventory" car.
I do not believe you are correct on the 2016. I just posted the 2016 DOG in the W212 forum and it says nothing about much of anything different from MY15 to MY16. The completely new E Class will come out as a 2017 model.
I wasn't aware of the Emerald Edition S600. That's quite fancy looking! There seems to be zero press about this version when doing a quick Google search and I don't recall seeing any announcement in the months prior.

Wrong. 2017 will be the new body style E which will have the typical upgrades. 2016 is still NTG4.7.
Check this puppy out. Emerald Edition S600, only 100 of them.
WOW. That looks amazing. I never knew about the Emerald Edition. My favorite thing about it is the rims. I never seen those EVER but have seen them as renders. I like them a lot.
Lovin, how is the legroom in the rear compared to the W221? I am looking at most photos and it looks a bit tight.
"attention k-mart shoppers, attention k-mart shoppers, we have a bluelight (emeraldlight?) special for the next 6mos - our special order "53r 5-spoke 20" wheels" in a twofer special; you actually get ten spokes for the price of five!"
can you believe they mucked up the monroney sticker on a $190,000 car??? my dealer has the car as well. we all got a good laugh on that!
gosh I didn't know green was making a comeback from the '90's! I'm into the exterior color. the interior looks kinda ho hum to me. The green stripes are an interesting touch - I'd have to see it in person to opine.
