My 2015 S550 4MATIC arrived in Baltimore on Monday. I received confirmation this morning that my car has been assigned to a car hauler and should arrive at my dealership this coming Tuesday, July 29th. It should be ready for me to take home on Thursday, July 31st. Excellent ! Plenty of photos to follow.

What state are you in? The ship with my s550 is arriving in Baltimore 27th of July. So I'm trying to figure how long it will take for the dealer to receive it in PA.

I am in the Pittsburgh, PA area. My '14 S550 4Matic came from the Baltimore VPC and went "VPC Ready" on 2/3/14 and was received at the dealer on 2/6/14. The key is once it is "discharged" from the ship the length of time the VPC takes to process the car. As of May 31st the Baltimore VPC no longer processes BMW cars through the MB VPC. This will quicken up your time that the vehicle will be in the hands of the VPC.
My guess is that it will take three days once it is discharged from the ship to have the VPC process the car and another 3 days from the time it is VPC ready to show up at your dealer. I would figure one week from the time it is discharged to the car being at your dealer--just a guess.

Mine took more than 3 weeks from the time it got to Baltimore and by the time I took delivery on April 5. I know it got to Baltimore during the Big 12 Basketball Tournament in mid March. It was disgusting what happened.
Say Trauman, please take a look at my new WiFi thread. I would greatly appreciate your input.

BeanTrader: Will check out WiFi thread.
FYI: Timing to PA from Baltimore VPC is pretty quick once it clears the VPC. I did not want to mention my actual delivery times since my times were skewed because my car was a Euro Delivery and had to go through a bunch more hoops at the VPC. My car was unloaded 1/24/14 in Baltimore and arrived at the dealer on 2/6/14--less then 2 weeks but my car was a Euro Delivery car so it was at the VPC one week longer than other cars on the same ship since atleast one car my dealer received arrived one week before mine did that was not Euro Delivery.
My car arrived at the dealer yesterday, my wife and I stopped by last night to see it. The weather was crummy (not much of a summer in Michigan thus far) and my iphone was clouding up in the humidity, but I did manage to snap off a few pictures.
Nothing had been done to the car yet - it hadn't even been washed. Even filthy, the car is gorgeous. What lines !! The 20" wheels are definitely the way to go. I'm picking it up for good this Thursday evening - I cannot wait.
hey i have a question. how long was the wait time for the order of your car? i want to order the 2015 C63 when its available and I'm just wondering how long I'm going to have to wait after i order it.

I ordered my car this year - the first week of April. It took pretty much four months from order to delivery.
I actually just got it this week. I had been on a trip when it arrived at my dealer. I had it one day then had to leave again.
I got the Verde Brook color which is nice in the sunlight, but is not very noticeably different than the blacks in photographs. I have the beige interior - I like lighter interiors. I just ordered a set of brown Lloyd plush mats for the interior because I'm worried about the wear on such light mats - I hope that it will be a close match to the top of the dash.
I plan on posting some photos and comments once I get the mats, since I think that will be useful for others to see how well these work.

Congrats on your new car. I have seen the Verde Brook color and it is a gorgeous color. I bet it looks great with the beige interior.

Congratulations, Gator ! I've not seen that color in person yet, but it sounds great ! I've never heard of Lloyd plush mats before. I just looked at their website & can't wait to see them in your car. Bring on the pictures !
My interior is black. I'm putting weathertech floor liners into my S550. Won't be near as comfortable as the plush mats you'll have, but here in Michigan - they're a nod to necessity...
2020 S560 Sedan, 2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, '24 BMW I7 on order...
I absolutely HATE interiors that are basically HALF of the color advertised and HALF BLACK! They make me think of much less expensive cars made by GM, Chrysler and even "entry level" MB models. For many years, all MB interiors were gorgeous, monochromatic. If you ordered a "Bamboo" interior in 1979, like I did in my new 450SL that year, the ENTIRE interior was Bamboo. If you ordered a "Palomino" interior, as I ordered on my 1986 560 SL, it was ALL Palomino-- with the exception of the top of the dash, which was black for "safety" reasons. Car makers really "CHEAP OUT" when the carpets are black, half the door panels are black and the dash is black. ALL of the finishes in those areas should be FRIGGING OPTIONAL on a car the caliber of the new S Class. Porsche does it. MB should as well. If you want every square inch of your new S550 to be HELIOTROPE inside, there should be a a "Color To Sample" option, just like Porsche has had for decades now. Don't even get me started about the INABILITY to get a new S Class sedan WITHOUT that frigging, useless, Panorama Roof!
Took delivery of my S550 last night. The delivery experience was seamless. I've shamelessly stood on the shoulders of those on this forum who had previously negotiated deals on swapping out the run-flat tires, extended warranties, & pre-paid maintenance packages. Thank you all !! As a result, I closed the sale with my salesperson at her desk - never even met the dealership's finance person. No hard sell for this, that, and the other thing. A BIG win for me ! If anybody is looking to buy a MB in SE Michigan, ping me - I thought my experience through the dealer was very good & my salesperson Suzette was outstanding...
Here are some photo's from the dealership last night and a couple from the parking lot at work this morning. LOVE this car !!!
jrpisha--Sweet looking ride! I know how exciting the delivery day is.
I can't wait to get back home to PA today just to drive my car since I have been in Southern California all week this week--And of course to see my family. The S class is simply an awesome car.
Congratulations jrpisha! Fantastic looking car. It looks like you chose the same exterior and interior colors (iridium silver and black) as I did. However, your wheels are obviously better looking.
