Inside Ceiling of Trunk?

I just took delivery of a 2015 S550. The ceiling of the trunk of our prior S550 had a cushioned panel with hooks to hang groceries. Is there supposed to be any kind of panel in the ceiling of the new S550 trunk, as all there is now is a primed metal ceiling with rectangular cut outs and a couple of key-shaped cut outs that look like they may facilitate mounting of an accessory? Also, it would seem that a cushioned panel would dampen noise from the trunk.

I had the exact same thought when I took delivery of my '14 S550 4matic. Just like what you stated, my '08 S550 4matic had a cover over the metal and had atleast one hook to hang stuff from. The '14 just has the primed metal. Also as you stated, maybe they did not put a panel on the ceiling for the purpose of install things like the comfort box.

Those key holes are for an accessory.

I think there is sound absorbing material above the metal and the metal was placed under it to enable this accessory.
