You are aware he is talking about a matte paint / clearcoat, correct?
Waxes (and certainly polishes) ruin the finish by making it shine. I do believe there may some new (rare) ceramic coatings that’s are compatible, but in general the matte paints are to be left alone.
I love the color. The paint is actually very tough. No special maintenance. Keep in mind to not wax or clay it and don’t use shampoo that has wax in it. Very easy to clean. Fine scratches are hard to see. Look nice still even when super dirty. You will learn to live with dings and chips; cannot do much with those.
I paid $78k for it with 24k miles. Premium 1 package, AMG sport, rims, HUD, driver assistance, rear seat package, designo wood, exclusive Nappa, exclusive trim. Full retail of $125k.
Also got extended CPO warranty for 2 more years for $3850
Thanks for your response. Sounds like you got a great deal. I paid $85K for mine and paid $1000 more for my warranty that the salesman said was discounted 10%. The sticker on mine was $142K with the Burmeister High End, which was an absolute must for me, Premium 1, AMG Line, Warmth and comfort which I really like living in MA,, Driver Assistance, and Exclusive Nappa. But it also has a spoiler that I'm not sure how I feel about until I see it in person. Magic sky control that was originally $5K, which I think is totally nuts and I was quite happy with the normal panorama roof. Heads up display which I found distracting when I once took a test drive with it, but maybe I'll get used to it, and Night View Plus which was $2250, but I never really drive at night and don't think it's that useful anyway. I also have the Exclusive Trim Package, but have no idea what that is. I really don't like the wheels on my car, and like the ones on your car, both black and natural much better, and I'm going to have to give some serious thought to switching.
I'm coming from a 2015 S63 AMG, that I really liked the giddyup in, and depending on how much I miss that, I might just get a Renntech tune. I don't even floor it that often, but when getting on the highway sometimes and I do, I find it pretty thrilling. The only reason why I wanted out of the S63 was it needs new front brakes and tires now, and the warranty just expired. I really don't like the idea of an S Class with no warranty, so figured why put the money into the tires and breaks since I would trade is sooner or later anyway.
I just hope the paint looks really good as I am buying the car sight unseen. If it looks like there are shiny spots from someone trying to buff out some scratches, I'll be pissed as hell!

You got a good deal for all that options. I wish I have those options as well. I didn’t have many choices when I shopped for mine and only wanted to buy locally. Mine didn’t come with spoiler, so I got aftermarket painted OEM from Taiwan on eBay. I think it completes the look. I also love head up display and don’t feel it’s distracting. To be able to tell how fast I’m doing without looking away from the road is great.
I had 2015 S550 before this and loved that one as well except that I keep getting 12 MPG city driving. This S560, I don’t know what they did but it’s perfect. Consistently 18-20MPG city and over 25MPG highway.

What an amazing vehicle! VERY rare list of options to boot, especially in an S63. I would get those matte black 3d center caps to match your wheels asap!

Thank you!! These center caps are sold at the dealer?

You can remove the old ones with a ton of tape and some needle nose pliers, just wrap them really good (on the sides and on the front) then grab them and pull straight out. They should pop right off. I used gorilla tape:
Here are the valve stems too, black versus the silver you have now: https://www.amazon.com/Mercedes-Benz-Tire-Valve-Stem/dp/B0087OXZW6/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=oem+mercedes+valv e+stem+caps&qid=1632137834&sr=8-4

It was frigid but I still managed and wash and wax yesterday!
Now it looks even more like mine since you've added the spoiler. Except my windows aren't tinted and I don't have poser badges on the sides.
Your car looks so clean that you may want to consider having it ceramic coated so you never have to go through the trouble of waxing ever again and it will shine better than any wax.
the ultimate spec of specs. Man. I’m soooo jelly you found this! Would you share any details on price? Sticker etc?
congratulations brotha!
That’s a special car!

So if I mail you some poser badges can we be twinsies?
In all honesty I don’t like them anymore either. I think these “overly busy” badges detract from the car. I’m planning on a Weistec tune and will probably put their vinyl decal on there, it’s very subtle on our color.
I am very familiar with ceramic coatings - have had them on many vehicles over the years. But in all honesty I like the exercise of a good wash and wax, and personally think nothing looks better than some real carnuba. Maybe it’s just the hard work talking.

Comparing to the other cars I see here my car is kind of a contrast. S560 4matic no AMG trim and on 18" winter tyres. Color is cavansite blue metallic.

Reason: there is some information in this picture that could lead to finding where my car often sits

I'm not a huge fan of the non-AMG prefacelift S-class but love this style just as much as the sport.

Thanks, I like the classy look. However I kind of regret staying with the super boring rims for winter. For summer I already have a set of these https://www.kunzmann.de/image/fahrze...--14683-xl.jpg I think that will look very classy and much smarter, since they are 19". I dont think the AMG wheels would look good without the AMG spoilers.

Very classy! I may be mistaken, but is that a SWB? Hard to tell from the pictures. I think both your winter and summer wheels are very fitting for this car. Congratulations on the new ride.

Jup, short wheel base! Voila https://www.lastvin.com/vin/1LQyK2rLxGJdevaBN. Car is pretty much exactly the way I would have ordered it. Something quirky, the first owner had Mercedes install a cd changer in the glove compartment ( see "Record 5 Text CD-Laufwerk gemäß AZ82.64-P-0002LF nachgerüstet" on the very end of the VIN link, just realised there is no translation for this one either). Guy was very old. I guess I have the same taste as a 80 year old guy at 33. Also, the car is only 2001kg( about 4400lbs) which I think is pretty outstanding.

2016 s550 sold Trade my 550 for 560. Went with magno cashmere a bit of a Remix to my 550 Wife's car 2019 cls53 2019 Cls53 cranberry interior. Vinyl wrap on moldings. Painted emblems. Calipers painted. Rims powder coated. AMG lettering to match Exterior paint
Thinking about powder coating my rims. How has it held up does? Heard different opinions on paint vs powder. Thanks!
aliexpress vents on my W222... as soon as I figure out the wiring, they should also glow... ;-)
And looking much better than I anticipated! Well.. at least when set straight... Otherwise they look stupid. And asymmetrical. I admit. But there is something refreshing about them that makes me wanna keep it and go thru the pains of removing the door panel to fish the rgb signal from there...
well worth the effort!
Colors are aligned with factory. Installation is not the most easy thing if you don't have experience removing trim panels, but not impossible with some time (took me probably close to 6h in total to get things done, wired, connected and cleaned afterwards).

That looks great! What year is your car?? Guessing a '14 since it has no puck pad controller? I had that exact same interior on the one I had years ago, except beige seats.

yup, edition 1, one of the first W222s to leave the factory back in 2013 actually... beige interior with dark blue/(or graphite?) seats - I did not like the combo the first time I saw it, but boy did it grow on me since ;-)

The illuminated vents are a nice upgrade! Oh wow, back in '13 huh? How many miles have you put on her? That does sound like a nice color combo
