KEYLESS ENTRY WONT WORK
SO ON THE 2014 S550 THAT WE HAVE, WHEN I GET OUT OF THE CAR, CLOSE THE DOOR, AND PRESS THE LOCK BUTTON (ON THE KEY REMOTE) TWICE AND WAIT UNTIL THE LIGHTS FLASH AND THE MIRRORS FOLD IN (NOW THE CAR IS LOCKED). NOW I WANT TO UNLOCK THE CAR, SO I PULL ON THE HANDLE TO UNLOCK THE CAR AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN(100% OF THE TIME THE CAR WONT UNLOCK OR LOCK BY THE DOOR HANDLE) BUT WHEN I SHUT THE DOOR AND LOCK IT WITH THE DOOR HANDLE IT WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK (100% OF THE TIME). I HAVE TRIED BOTH KEY FOBS AND THEY BOTH DO THE SAME THING. LOOKED IN BOTH CLUSTERS FOR A SETTING, NOTHING. PLEASE HELP IF YOU HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. THE LAST OF THE VIN IS A060760, I KNOW THERE WAS AN ISSUSE WITH KEYLESS GO ON THE VINS A020500-A023037.

I AM THE SA LOL...
WE CANT FIND ANY SETTINGS OR RECALLS ON THIS, WE OPEDED A CASE WITH MB BUT I JUST WANTED TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAD SEEN THIS, WE ARE AT A STAND STILL. I EVEN TESTED THE ONES ON THE NEW CAR LOT 14 'S AND 15'S AND SOME OF THEM DO IT AS WELL BUT SOME JUST HESITATE LIKE YOU SAID

Normally if the key is not recognized during first query process is automatically repeated 1 more time. If diagnostics show no problems confirm KG control unit software is current.

^^^^ I agree, no problems on our 2014 S550. Can lock and unlock using any combination of key fob and door handles.

noticed you double click with the fob, what if you only single click it to lock and then try unlocking again.......
I also don't understand why someone would even use the lock button on the fob..that would require one to take the key from the pocket; which defeats keyless go IMO

Why are you tapping it twice to lock and double clicking the button to unlock? Lock the car by pressing it once. Give it a second, grab the door handle and when the door unlocks open it. Seems like you're doing it all too fast IMO. Is the battery in the key fob low?

As per the manual for 2015 s class, page 86, you push the lock button twice to deactivate KEYLESS GO. This is to save smart key battery if you are not going to be around the car for awhile. To activate again, push any bottom on the smart key.
