I have just been in the market for a new S class. There are plenty of new S550 on the dealer lots. Plus MB had some specials going on last year and saturated the market a bit. Saying this, the dealers are willing to negotiate the S550. A 117K MSRP is probably to get for 110K. If I consider to buy a car in that price range, I rather pay 110K for a new S550 than 95K for a pre-owned. I think you need to be in the 85K range to make it sell. I saw 2 weeks ago a 2013 model S600 MSRP ~160K with 9k miles on the clock for 99K at a dealer ship (W221 model, I know, but still a huge cut).
