During the drive, I decided that I'd rather look at the S-class inventory at a dealer across town. They have a wide variety of stock. I've test driven the S already, so I new I liked it. I ended up getting one! This is my first S-class.
I had no intention of coming home in a new car, but I really enjoyed the ride home. I've got so much to learn. Is the owner's manual available for download? I had a short delivery so I could get home in time for dinner.
My first impressions are that the seats are a pain to adjust, the highway ride is impressive. I am worried that I'll attract hookers, panhandlers and charities seeking donations.

I'll post photos later.
the manual is online; however I have been waiting for a hard copy since April!!! yes, I'm serious;one was 'ordered' for me a few days after my March 31rst delivery......and still I wait
- WTF did I do?
- Did I get a deal?
- Did I just age myself by 10 years?
- Will my Audi get a good home?
- Will I miss my Audi?
- Should I have bought the car with HUD?
- Should I take S to the local dealership for service even though I bought it out of town?
- Should I wear a Rolex?
- WTF did I do?
Then reality hit me on the 4th day of ownership.
What was I thinking taking all that money out of our nest egg.
Then some guilt of extravagance nudged me.
Then I started complaining about my fuel economy, since I was spoiled by 5 yrs of E320 Diesel ownership.
Then I was second guessing myself if I would have been happier with a Tesla. One more look at the Tesla interior convinced me that I made the right choice.
Then there's the IR reflective windshield.
Three issues had to be resolved.
1. Toll transponder needed to be placed on the opposite side of the recommended placement in the owners manual. (passenger side of mirror). Found out after being over charged on toll. Got it back on appeal.
2. Homelink had very short range. Remedied by adding another 12" of wire to the antenna wire on garage door motor.
3. Radar detector GPS function is still buggy but doable. (Passport Max) center of dash.
I did hours of reading & research after our purchase and drove it for longer distances.
I'm now more convinced I made the right choice.
Age isn't a factor since I'm older than I look.
Only issue now is about that Rolex. Yes, one should wear a Rolex if they have one while enjoying their S class.
Even if only attired in a Tee shirt and camo pants.

BTW Those wheels should be easier to clean.
, better yet how you like your new S550, the other day bro n I went for I test drive on 2015 S550, which I fall for it, yet I kind a step up and roll into s63....heard, not seen one yet, there is a quite difference 2015 s550 vs s63.

Look center just above the half sphere sensor on the dash. You should see a pattern in the glass which is where you can put your radar detector.

I have found where the sweet spot for my radar detector is, as you also mentioned. However using the sticky cup mount from escort won't allow me to mount my radar as close to the windshield like I want without being in a downward angle. The radar is working fine but the GPS part of it which helps locate pre loaded traffic & speed cameras maybe an issue.

It's on my short list for my 2014 S550 replacement in the future.

- You did one heck of a greatest buy of your life ever
- Don't know
- Nope, even though spending some hefty of amount of money you should not
- Don't know hopefully yes ,anyhow it is no longer your car either
- Considering you still ask about Audi ,you would .However , your W222 is better in every respect .I don't know if you see your ex Audi around the town you would remember good times memories spending with that car
- Yes, you should namely if you are a tech geek like me
- You should , at least as long as your warranty runs
- Yes, however what kinda Rolex that's a big question . My choice is GMT MASTER II DAY-NIGHT ,SKY DWELLER is way beyond my range because it can be bought only in gold
.For that kinda money I would be interested in Breguet Marine Royale - What you did is like considering you still ask about your purchase is similar to having a sex with a blonde bikini clad and feel repentance later .I mean you did a great job buying a car like this

Cpt, I love the color of your car , my next car's color will be exactly like this .
Happy Weekends

I am spoiled by my dealership in Dallas. I am about 2 miles from it and they do free car washes (tire dressing included) Monday through Saturday 8-3.
