Just to keep you all updated - I still don't have my car back.
I believe I should request MBUSA to compensate me the equivalent one month payment on this car.

I'm going to ask them for the equivalent of a months payment.
They may decline it if they want to maintain they had nothing to do with this. Under that circumstance I will proceed with turning over the situation to the new york district attorney to investigate if my concerns are valid.

Yes.
I asked the manager to inquire with MBUSA if they would be willing to compensate for a payment or two. Have not heard back.
Decided not to pursue further - As a New Yorker - I have 2 other dealerships in the region - neither of which I want to touch. I know we discussed above on this topic about MB Brooklyn but I really have had serious problems with them. (When I got my 2002 S500 brand new - I went in for the squeaky brakes as we all have on our new cars....2 months old.....tried to sell me $4000 worth of brakes)
Then there's silver star in Long Island City. Pain in the *** to get to.
So I'm not going to escalate this. I'll just be more careful.

I had an issue with MB Manhattan in 2012. They ripped a hole in the leather in the mid console, but manned up to it and fixed it for free. Supposedly, they take a video of the outside and inside of the car before repairing it. That is how they were able to determine that the hole wasn't there before. If they did scratch your car, they should have this video on film. I'm not talking about outside when leaving, but inside the repair shop, it's supposed to be a requirement. Glad it worked out for you though!

Wow that's a great outcome because as Chucky stated the surveillance footage wouldn't show that intricate damage from that distance anyway as it didn't even show the parking sensor. Great job MB of Manhattan, I almost purchased from them and glad to see they decided to do the right thing. On the other hand I'm sure they investigated this internally and may have found damage on a wall inside the dealership that was caused by his car.
I had a similar issue. I took my Benz to MB of Flemington,NJ and when I got home I noticed an oil stain on the interior of the car caused by the mechanic. I contacted the dealer and they decided to give me a free interior detail, cool I thought. However, I got home after having the detail and found a 1 inch scratch on the interior wood trim of the rear passenger door " who looks there". I decided to do a look over as a result of the detail and found it. Anyway, I contacted my SA and without any issues they changed out the wood free of charge.
