Comand Slow
Just picked up new MY2015 S600. Car is amazing in almost every way, but COMAND is painfully slow. COMAND in my W221 seemed much faster. Anyone else experience this?

you can try doing a reset through the settings menu if you feel that it's slow than and it should be on other menus too.

Was trying to wait to get some better pics as I picked up the car right before going on vacation. But here are a couple I took with my phone. I usually had black cars so went a little different and ordered Magnetite Black over Porcelain/Black with Sunburst myrtle wood trim. I changed my mind on the interior color & trim at least 5 times but am really happy I stuck with my original build.
This car just hovers over the road! Smoothest driving car I've ever owned. Being a S600 it basically came fully loaded and I opted for the additional Executive Rear Seat package, Splitview, and 20" Multi-spoke wheels. Love all the new technology (except for the slow COMAND, will try a reset when I get back home). I haven't gotten used to the touchpad yet either, although I've barely driven the car yet. I didn't think the HUD would be a big deal, but it is...the placement of the HUD display over the middle of the hood is perfect and I rarely need to look at the instrument cluster.
One downside to this car is I would almost prefer to be in the backseat than the drivers seat. With the Executive rear seat package the backseats with the headrest and leg pillows are the most comfortable car seats I've ever sat in. Many of the rear seat controls like the massage function are accessed through a remote control and the rear TV's. The tables can be a little tricky to extend and the front seat has to be moved forward enough to fully extend the table, but so far that's the only little issue I could find with the rear seats.
The only option I didn't get was the fridge and I'm glad I didn't get it as the trunk space is already smaller with the High-End sound system and rear seat package.

Your car is spectacular. I was so on the fence about getting the S600 but decided against it being in the city.
Do you have any opinions about the S600 from grill vs. the S550?
I've always preferred the 600's vs. the 63's because of the smoothness of the engine and the fact that the torque was at the higher end as opposed to the 63's. Then again, one could get the best of both worlds with the 65 but that was surely too much power for the city, at least for me.

Exactly, what a spectacular car it is ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I like your options too , 2+2 seats very cool idea![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
If you don't mind I just revised the angle of the car to make a better view of it

Thank you all!
MBZSW - The exterior color is Magnetite Black.
LovinMercedes - I think only a true Mercedes enthusiast would notice the difference in grills between the 550 & 600/65. I think they both look great.
I looked at the S550, S63, and S65. Between the S550 and the 600 I loved the V12's smoothness and the extra power. And the price difference when comparing against a fully loaded S550 is 25K, which to me was worth it. The S65 on the other hand is a 50K premium over the 600 and I couldn't find the value in it. The 600 is plenty powerful enough for a street car and I don't plan on racing a S-Class so the only draw to the S65 for me was the AMG body kit.
My final decision came between the S63 & S600. In the end I wanted a smooth luxury car so that's what I picked. Although I must admit that the S63's exhaust note made it a very tough choice!
I also looked at the RR Ghost & Bentley Mulsanne and after driving both of those knew that the S-Class was second to none, at least for now.
