Exclamation Questions !

Hello guys,

I'm asking if comfort difference between 18" and 19" wheels is noticeable ?
I'm talking about S400 Hybrid, Does it run on (92 RON + Mercedes fuel additive) since there's no premium fuel around ?

Note : The car isn't bought yet and it's not mine.

when I switched from 18 to 19 a few years ago, I was nervous, but it's a no issue; for me at least, the difference is very slight, and you adapt overnight

Agree! Bigger difference comes when you jump from 19 to 20.

I'm from Egypt, sir .. 95 RON is available but in main cities only, but the common fuel here is 80 RON and 92 RON ..
All W221 here run on 92 RON

I see, maybe you shouldn't buy a Benz; or have your own gas tank at your house
with 93 or up that gets delivered by an 18 wheeler

kind of like a farm: those cats have tanks for their equipment
a buddy of mine dated a girl a long time ago and often filled up his tank at his girlfriends house LOL

Of course you found it funny because your car doesn't cost like it costs in my country .. With $ 270,000 you can get an S400 Hybrid in Egypt (it should cost more but it had a 25% discount on taxes because it's a hybrid car) !

Imagine this ! Taxes costs more than 200% of the car price + fuel with very poor quality !

The manual says that 91 octane (95 RON) is the least octane number can be used .. I'm asking if adding Mercedes fuel additive (up to 2 bottles when refueling) to 92 RON may works with no aggressive driving ?

I agree. On my old S500 from 2002 I switched from 18 - 19 and felt nothing. I then got 19s on the 2007 S550 and it was still smooth as butter. The 20s on the new one is def harsher but since switching to conventional tires - it is only marginally rougher than the 19s of the old body.

It doesn't bother me that I'd switch to 19s now.
