Bad news!

First couple times - that's how it went. Then it was "we don't have any instock, want an A6 or Q5? and we said sure of course. We didn't play the "we got it in writing" game because we don't really care.
Then they dropped a bomb on us. Told us anyone with state farm insurance is now automatically prohibited from any loaner of any class from Audi. (even though we have a contract that states to the contrary).
Apparently some bloke crashed an A8 loaner - and state farm refused to pay. We could have fought them for breach of contract - but what would that have gotten us? Nothing.
We got rid of the Audi - and ordered a Range Rover. In the end - they lost a customer of their higher end class of car - and they lost our referral possibilities for new customers.
Was it worth it for them? I have no idea - but I would imagine not.
If Mercedes puts in writing they will give you an S Class for an S Class buyer - and they renege - I don't think it's snooty to be upset about it. A contract is a contract - and you make a purchase - you expect both parties to honor it.
