Based on how long you expect to own the car, and how many miles you'll put on it, you can estimate how much of a resale advantage there would be with a 2016 by using a site like kbb. So for instance, if you think you'll keep it for 4 years and 50k miles, compare the used value of a 2011 vs a 2012 S550, both with 4yr/50k. If the difference is say $4k, that can be your guide to how much more a 2016 should be "worth" for you over a 2015. Assuming, of course, that you can find a 2015 configured the way you want. If you can't, you can factor the value to you of the equipment advantages of an ordered 2016 into the equation.
