Thinking About Purchasing a W222
Hello everybody my name is Manny! I had a coupe of questions as I am considering adding a S63 or S600 to the stable. I am wanting to order a 63 to my preferences, but if I can get a nice offer on a 15 or 16 S63 on the lot, why not? I will be financing as I plan to keep the car for at least 100k miles or 6-7 years which ever happens first
1. I live in both the Bay and in So Cal, so I have nice large pool dealers to order or purchase from. I'm looking at a purchase time of Late December to Mid January. Realistically what do the discounts look like on left over 15s and 16s on the lot. This going to be a big part of if I am going to order to not. If the discount is not significant, wait is not an issue Id rather pay MSRP for a car the way I want it spec by spec.
2. The M157 motor how reliable is it? I dont want to be spending a lot of time driving a C class loaner, my '11 S550 was and is still very bullet proof and is near approaching 100k. Other than couple trips for some small electrical issues I wasnt at the dealer for much other than routine maintenance. Is extended warranty a must? I purchased it on my 550 and it didn't even earn its value back.
I just like to have a rough idea before I walk in to purchase and also so I can crunch some numbers on my end. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and answering my questions!
Thanks In Advance
-Manny
And admins Id appreciate if you leave this thread here because its seems to be a lot more active here than the W222 Amg forum Thank you!!!

Hi and welcome!
I live in a similar market (NYC) and I was able to get 14% off a loaded 2015 this past August.
The S is spectacular in my opinion. The only feature that lacks, which drives me insane, is the Key-to-Memory seat, which practically any cheap car has by now and if you are 6'5", like I am, it's a pain in the neck to be sitting outside when it rains and keep the memory button pressed.....

Your car has a beautiful interior! Yea thats what one my close friends told me too, you seem to be live the bay, whats the best you heard of in terms of percentage off? I want to order my car in Iridium Silver and Red leather color like classic red or red pepper or something of the like but thats only if I can't reach a deal on a S63 on the the lot.
