USAA Discount
I've been working with my regular Mercedes dealership to purchase my parents a 2016 S Class. This will be the 5th car I've bought from them and they aren't really looking to offer me that good of a deal. Including my USAA discount they are only offering an 8% discount. Even worse, I'm looking to purchase 2 GLE400 at the same time and they are only offering me $3500 off on each of those. I've seen posts that others have been able to get up 12% off for a MY16 S Class alone. What are others experience with using the USAA discount, are dealerships willing to discount the car first and then add the additional USAA discount on top of that price? That is my philosophy of how the process should work but my dealer disagrees. I think I've reached an impasse with my them, does anyone have a good recommendation for a dealership? I'm in the southeast but don't mind purchasing these from anyone willing to offer a good package deal.

You do not need to even mention the usaa discount until you have settled the deal and are with the finance guy. It has nothing to do with the dealer or their profit margin. Negotiate first then present special discounts. I do know a great dealer up here in NY. If you are interested hit me up. He will deliver them pretty much anywhere...

that's a lot of cars and you should be shown some more discounts IMO......perhaps shop around as you've mentioned and force some comp between the stealers, hope you get what you're looking for
