I put this up on the Speedriven blog yesterday, thought I'd share it here, as well.

===

With a decadently appointed interior and newly-revised, 6.0 liter version of the venerable Biturbo V12 that delivers 523 seamless horsepower, the W222 chassis Mercedes-Benz S600 is more than enough car to wear the Maybach nameplate. Mercedes recognizes this, and markets the car as much as a piece of art as it would a piece of engineering. That’s what a car like the Maybach is- both art and engineering- but wouldn’t it be better with a few hundred more horsepower?

Yes it would. Absolutely.

Starting with an advanced ECU software upgrade, Speedriven’s tuning program for the S600 Maybach boosts the V12’s output to more than 630 HP and an Earth-moving, 750 TQ available just above idle for smooth, jet-like acceleration. The Maybach’s top speed governor is lifted, too, transforming the car into a low-flying cruise missile with a potential top speed of 205 MPH (330 km/h) … and that’s still just the start of what’s possible.

Speedriven Billet Turbo Dyno Graph

For more adventurous owners who want to make a statement with their cars, Speedriven offers a 740 HP performance package capable of delivering more than 900 lb-ft of TQ to the ground without sacrificing smoothness, drivability, or the S600’s quiet ride. That level of performance without compromise is made possible thanks to a pair of Speedriven’s billet-wheel turbochargers, a set of top-mounted intercoolers, high-flow intakes, and a freer-flowing exhaust that creates a deep, throaty rumble outside without any unwanted droning or raspiness on the inside.

The ultimate statement, however, may be a car that delivers genre-defying performance without even breaking a sweat. To that end, Speedriven is prepared to install a built and blueprinted V12 with forged rods and pistons, superior hardware, and improved oiling that- when fitted with a pair of aftermarket turbochargers and backed by a reinforced transmission- can easily and reliably produce more than 1000 HP.
