Meisterschaft Stainless GTC Exhaust Mercedes-Benz S550 V8 Sedan

Product Information
Meisterschaft set out with one simple idea: to create exhaust products superior to all others, the pinnacle of performance and quality, and this is the result. Meisterschaft exhaust products boast a background of over ten years in development. Partners from around the world collaborated with the common goal of making the worlds finest exhaust systems out of the finest materials. Their experience, knowledge, insight, innovation, and design all reside within the Meisterschaft brand. Simply put, there is nothing better available on the market.

The factory exhaust unit was not built with optimal performance in mind. Manufactures have various factors they take into consideration when designing an automobiles exhaust system that come before performance, such as cost reduction, sound deadening, etc. All of these compromises come with a price, they reduce performance. This Meisterschaft Axle back exhaust replaces the restrictive factory unit and increases exhaust flow by minimizing bends in the system. Meisterschaft's design team builds their exhaust systems to compliment the power plant of your Mercedes-Benz and increase horsepower and torque.

With a better flowing exhaust you have faster throttle response and more power. Meisterschaft's Welding technique and internal construction are handled with extreme care and also given more attention to details compared to other brands. Meisterschaft builds their exhaust systems out of the highest quality 100% Stainless Steel. Along with better performance, the increase in exhaust flow also provides a louder, more aggressive tone over stock. The polished tip adds a classy final touch to your Mercedes-Benz.

Meisterschaft GTC exhaust systems include electronically controlled exhaust valves, allowing the end user to control the overall tone of the exhaust. Closed valves offer the quietest sound, while full open valves will showcase the loudness of a truely open exhaust. The valves can be set anywhere in between to get any unique combination of sporty or loud.

Are the electronically controlled valves controlled by the stock sport/eco mode button? or is this something that is added on? I'm looking for a bolt on system but I want keep the stock exhaust tips and make use of the sport/eco button to open and close the butterfly valves.

I did a lot of research on that one.... See my post...

https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...t-exhaust.html

Only 2 options to control. On/Off switch in the cabin, or a silly $200- wireless remote to control the exhaust.
2 choices on the remotes. One will do Full open Full Close, another one will let you choose by holding the button and will stop where you release.

I am doing some research on having the CanBus system connected to a simple relay. When you hit Sport, have relay trip and do a full open, when not in sport, do a full close. This will be the cleanest setup and bring you close to the S63.

The video is pretty cool. The video is an axle back system and gives you the best of both worlds.

Also doing research on >> https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...p-upgrade.html

Yes, the video is what I want but why can't we use the stock system in place, obviously it would have to be customized cut out and modified to the aftermarket one or maybe not. I haven't actually looked at it yet, so I really have no idea what I'm talking about but i have seen other systems on other cars where people used the factory controls. Im going to look at it tonight or tomorrow and take some pictures if I can.

The exhaust is a drop-in, matches up to factory exhaust tips. Lots of aftermarket valves that just get cut into the exhaust pipe before the muffler, this system is first class, and you pay for it also...

They make two versions. Full and axle back.
