Remote install radar detector opti No?
Options:
Has anyone gone with a remote installed radar detector? These Athermic windows are killing me. I had a ~150 yard alert last week to a constant on Ka band sherrif that sent me over the edge. I'm currently running with a Radenso Pro SE that is on par with n Escort Redline in a car with normal windshields. This thing should have given me 1/2 mile or more notice. Unit is positioned squarely in the cut out next to the RVM so should have been good and gets GPS signal immediately.
Looking at the new Stinger remote unit ( https://www.stingerradarusa.com ) or the new Radenso RC ( https://radenso.com/product/radenso-...radar-detector ) when the new controler comes out. Link is to the current HD+ Which is an add on to the ALP laser jammer system but they are rolling out a stand alone unit this spring with an updated controler.
Open to alternate suggestions - other than the Escort 9500ci. Blind Spot Monitor falses are horrible with the Escort / Beltronics products or I would put my STiR+ back in with the Midcity module. Been there, done that and the false alerts were ridiculous in my area.

I've tried both cut outs with 3 different detectors and none have much range but work perfectly in my wife's Escalade. Escort Max 360, Max 2 & the Radenso Pro SE. Looking at the Stinger and curious what others have chosen.
