2017 discounts

Curious to see what kind of discounts you're seeing on a 2017 S550. Currently looking to get out of my GL-450 through the Lease Accelerator option. I have a dealer offering $17k off of MSRP including fleet but understand there may be more money out there. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

How much profit is in these cars??? I was offered $1,000.00 off a new Maserati Levante from more than one dealer. $17,000.00 off seems like a ridiculously great deal!

Apparently there is "trunk" money in addition to a 6% mark-up. The 2018 will be out in June so dealers are looking to move them. I'm in the Northeast

$17,000 is good, but in previous threads from last month people reported closer to $24,000 off MSRP, but that may have been on 2016 models. If you can wait until the 2018s hit dealers' lots in a few month then you'll get the best deals on 2017 models since the 2018 will be the mid-cycle refresh for the S-Class.

Thanks. Makes sense. Guess I'm a bit apprehensive if Mercedes will keep the Fleet discounts at current levels or increase them as I wait. Has your experience been they get more aggressive the closer you get to a model refresh?

I can not guarantee

But these cars are expensive and not everyone can afford them. Unless you need the car now I would wait. You should get at least 25k off the car. 17k is stealership making 8k extra profit on top of their profit

Thanks. Know of any dealers offering that much of a discount? The car is not a need today but the lease accelerator option makes it attractive.

I do not unfortunately

a member on this forum referred me to a dealership out of state. I ended up leasing from there because in my homestate of California the stealerships were too greedy. I have heard fairfield MB is willing to negotiate. But You shouldnt settle for less than 25k off a 120k+ heavily optioned s class unless you are in a hurry. You may also wait until 2018 rolls out in summer and decide if you would rather have a 2018 or get a nice discount on a 2017.

You can do better

You shoud pay 3k down not 7k down and pay 929/month for a 115k+ msrp s class not a 96k one.
So I think that is not a good deal. You can get that deal from any stealership. That is my opinion

you have to share your sources. I'm getting lease payments of $1500 with 5k down on a $104k cap cost car. MSRP $121k

What residual and Mf are you using

3k upfront

3k upfront includes first payment acquisition fee and other fees. I agree putting money downn isnt a wise decision

Sorry I don't get this, I did a S550 with one pay lease of 47k down.
First reason, monkey factor, if I do 0 down, then the total cost of 3 year lease will be around 50k, so basicly you are paying more interest.

Second, I googled the reason, the only reason that sounds reasonable is in case you total the car or get it stolen, and I called my Insurance and they told me the down payment is not the case here, its all about the market value.

Can anyone explain about in my case (one pay lease of all down), what if its stolen?? I insured with Geico.

That's not a down payment. That's paying a lease in full up front to take advantage of interest discounts.

you got your car 2 and half years before mine. You got the 2015 right when it came out. 2014 was the newest most awesome s class ever and you got the 2015 that means the 2014 kinks and flaws were taken care of for 2015. If you want to have the best product right when it comes out or soon after you will not get as good a discount, but you get to enjoy it much sooner than bargain hunters like me. Buying cars and electronics is a losing investment. The longer you wait the better product you can get and cheaper too, but one can not wait forever. Enjoy your awesome car and do not worry about something you can not change. Just know that at the time you got your car you couldnt get deals like you can today.

Interesting discount details! I ordered an S-550 4-Matic in January MSRP $124K and picked up an 11% discount. I was told that build date would be 'March' 2017 and delivery date some time in April. As of March 11, 2017 I have not yet been given a build date. Should I be concerned that the dealer is fibbing?

the dealer can narrow it down to the week the vehicle is being produced and can show you as did mine. What dealer did you offer through?

I have asked the dealer in the mid-west US to give me a specific build date and a VIN number, but to no avail, except, quote "it will be built in March". With almost half of that month gone, I'm somewhat concerned. I've had a bad experience with another brand that they (the other maker) bought back because they could not make it work. So, once bitten, twice shy. . .

I'd call MBUSA and tell them what's going on. You should get an answer very quickly.

Call Tom Palmer, New Car Sales Manager at Euro Motors Devon (right outside of Philadelphia). He has several on the lot and is straight up.
