So sorry to hear that some of you are still waiting (Cabs especially, ugh!!!). What torture.
I am really liking my new car. It drives great and is very comfortable and looks beautiful.
BUT, the computer stuff somehow is just so so glitchy. Am I the only one? For example, the sensor for me is firing off at random times (like when I pull out of a parking lot it starts screaming at me and shows me my 3-D camera with red all around the car as if things I am surrounded by some invisible wall on all sides and I am about to hit it). It also goes off at random times when I am passing a car in another lane, as if it thinks I will change lanes (but my blinker is not on). I also have the new change into a new lane assist thing where on the freeway if there are no cars aorund me, it just steers me into the new lane. COOL except half the time I put my blinker on and it won't activate. The other half of the time it works great. I have no idea why it is so moody.
The thing I was most excited about was CarPlay and I have to say it pretty much sucks. I mean, it is a massively scaled down version of 3-4 things my iPhone can do (text, play music, navigation, etc). But it is like a system that is ON TOP of the MB system, which is pretty sophisticated already, and the 2 just do not play nice together. It's like an either or thing. You use exclusively the MB navi and music or the the CarPlay. If you mix the 2, it is constantly crashing. I truly hate it. I dunno what on earth MB was thinking but I swear if I get a phone call on my iPhone and play music while my MB navi is active, god help me. The car will practically self-combust. It's ridiculous.
Heaven forbid that I have my iPod (which has like 10,000 songs on it) plugged in also. If I do (aux music basically), every time I turn the car off it forgets the playlist I had on and starts playing the first of 10,000 songs. You know the one called Aaardwark or whatever first letters of the alphabet it finds. Seriously?
My 2016 had NONE of these issues although my sensor would misfire at times. But not so blatantly. I have an appt with my dealer once I get back home but OMG I think I am going to beg them to reboot the whole damn thing. I literally have it crashing on a daily basis. GOODNESS....
