V6 vs I6 torque
Local MB tech states I6 produces more torque.
1-How is this possible?
2- Will 2018 S Class 450 have I or V?

An I6 can be better balanced than a and a 180(60º) V6 and a better balanced engine can be pushed harder. A 120º V6 and a 180º <flat> V6 can be equally balanced as the I6.
On the other hand, maybe Merc just decided to blow more air (boost) into the I6 than they were blowing into the V6,
