Drove a new S450 today..............
.........and it’s an amazing car! I never thought I would consider a V6 in a big sedan, but I was VERY impressed at how smooth, quiet and brimming with torque this car was. So, as I am trying to get my arms around that idea, I was struck by another observation: for the first time ever, I believe that I actually prefer the look of the AMG Line (Sports Pkg) body & wheels. So, as those of you who know me might imagine, I immediately checked myself into the hospital and had a series of tests done, as I was sure that I must be having hallucinations. Turns out I was fine and that the doctor agreed with me: the non-AMG Line front fascia is just way too busy! What were they thinking with those deep, checkerboard squares everywhere? Can you imagine cleaning that after a trip through the countryside during bug season? I realize that the AMG Line has them as well, but it just doesn’t seem to work on the basic model, at least not for me. I have to say that I was also impressed with the basic non-MBC suspension, although I’d still pop for it, just for the height adjustment. Nothing like hitting that button to clear parking lot bumpers, etc.
Anyway, I have not yet made up my mind, but I must say that if cost is a factor, I would highly recommend the S450 with the standard suspension. It’s an amazing way to experience a new S Class on the (relatively) cheap.

I am shocked!
Next thing you’ll be rolling with 22” wheels
Btw, you don’t need Mbc for height adjustment. Unlike your SL, non the ABC/MBC S-class uses Airmatic which features the same height adjustment and lowering at speed.
Keep in mind that the V6 will get phased out next year.

I prefer AMG Lines since W222s were released ,standard version in exterior doesn't emphasize enough imposing characteristics of the car whereas AMG exactly shows how greatly the front and ear end are executed
