You’ve just GOT to try this!
I know we have talked about this before, but for the newer guys and those like me, who simply forget about it, I thought I’d bring it up again: If you are in the USA and are considering a new MB, you have probably fooled with the “Build” feature at the MBUSA web site. It’s OK, for deciding how you would like your car equipped, although there are errors & omissions, such as the fact that you cannot add the Wood & Leather Steering Wheel to your W222 build, but for the most part it gives you a pretty good idea of what is available in the USA. That said, even though the graphics have been upgraded a bit this year, the images are just plain CRAP compared to those at the Mercedes-Benz.de website for the German market.
The site is all in German, but with a bit of fooling around with their “Konfigurator,” you can see truly amazing images of how your car will look. Why in the world MBUSA doesn’t use this same website engine is just beyond me, but they don’t. Anyway after going around and around, I finally decided on what my 2018 will look like and I “Konfigured” it on the German site. Here are images from that site. You must try this, it’s a real hoot!

So are you going to separately order 17" wheels from Germany? Not something I'd do myself...I'm just curious given how you seemed interested in them before.
