Any carbon buildup issues?

Anybody with a W222 with carbon buildup issues due to direct injection? I didn't think there was anything rampant going on but just want to double check before pulling the trigger on one

Thanks

MB uses two injectors vs one, and one of the two is aimed toward the valves to keep them clean.

This technology (two injectors per cylinder) is used by Toyota and Wolkswagen. Not MB.

Correct. You are referring to the 3.0 TFSI engine I believe, which uses dual injection (port and direct).

The 2.0 TFSI engine does not utilize said technology in N. America, but they do in Europe.

I was confusing multiple injectors vs. multiple injections...

Understood, and thanks.

Given the lack of replies in this thread I guess MB DI engines don't suffer from excessive carbon buildup on the intake valves. (great news).

Anyone know why this is? What did MB do to their PCV system designs to combat this?

I'm also curious if there is excessive fuel dilution in the oil which then causes viscosity issues. The main issue I find is that the customers of vehicles in this class (S class) tend to not be people who are overly geeky like me
