Also a previous Lexus LS owner, then '15 S550 4Matic, and now new 2018 S560 4Matic w/ 20" Goodyear RFT tires. My windows are multi-pane and the ride is smooth, quiet and the best of the lot. On certain roads a bit of tire noise is heard, but passing traffic is nearly silent. Sorry about your issues, I would be massively unhappy with buying a $120k car and having your experience.
Guess I will chat with a lemon law atty. Not sure how easy it will be to prevail on this noise isolation defect vs. an obvious physical / mechanical defect.
Certainty a minuscule problem compared to basically everything else these days, but just so annoying.
