Tune2air cable-free phone module works
Anyone have experience with this cool little passive device that connects to the lightening wire in your console and Bluetooth pairs w/ your phone? I connected it yesterday in a 2013 SL Class and worked great w/ my phone in my pocket. Just like the cable was connected.
I'm wondering if leaving it connected when the car is powered off will discharge the battery if its searching for Bluetooth devices?
Hopefully MB designed the cable interface so passive devices won't do that...
Thoughts? Thanks.

I use one of these in my 2014 Audi R8. Since the Audi isn’t a daily driver, it might not be driven for up to 10 - 14 days. I leave the Tune2Air hooked up the entire time and have had no issues with battery drainage.

Great news! Hopefully MB uses the same circuit strategy. Thanks.

I am missing the point. What is this used for? iPhone bluetooth works great with our SL.

i don’t recall on our 2013 SL but believe it worked just fine. It definitely works on our 2017 SL... but the BT automatically will use the Apple music app if you select it in Media. Simply stop the music and open Pandora, then it will play Pandora via BT. Navi directions should automatically pipe through BT audio if memory serves. I just use CarPlay these days...
