Today, when I placed my 2015 S550 in reverse, the dash screen said 360 degree camera inoperative. After I immediately Parked, turned off the ignition, restarted and backed up, same error. After driving ten minutes, it started working fine. What would cause this?

A software glitch , you know sometimes resetting things can fix them same as computers or cell phones and you know everything regarding cameras in these cars are electronic as well .

Mine did it today. Hasn't in some time but I also washed the car and perhaps some water may trigger the camera to turn off due to blurriness caused by leftover water on the camera. I did check this, wiped off the water, then it worked fine. Today marks my one year anniversary of taking delivery of my car and this has only happened 5 or 6 times.
We did have some light rain. The camera may have detected blurring and shut down the system.
