Maybach to receive the Digital Light headlights early
MB had introduced the Digital Light tech last year and it was pretty cool. Million pixel LEDs per headlight can project anything onto the read surface (like lane markings, images pedestrian crossings, distance markers) in addition to being actually intelligent in masking objects.
Don’t have the video link handy but it’s worth checking it out. This was really scheduled for 2020, the Maybachs appear to be getting this selectively in mid 2018.

I thought the lights on our 16 Maybach were cool and then I saw these. Wow pretty neat stuff.

...and we won't get to see any of it in the USA due to NHTSA's 1960s-era headlight rules. I'm still hoping that at some point the bureaucrats will change their minds and I might one day be able to see my multi-beam headlamps in all their glory instead of the dumb low/high beam configuration.
