Neither, you cannot lengthen the message time, nor the massage time. Very annoying, especially on long trips.

They limit the length of the massage seat use run time due to the possibility of the pump in the trunk that powers it burning out. I have seen 2 cases at my dealer where massagers inop from over use and the pump breaking.
