Does the AMG Package Give You Performance Exhaust in any Configuration?

I know the the AMG package is mostly cosmetic but is their a difference in the exhaust system form the base configuration (450/560)?

I know the M Sport Pkg on the G12 does have the performance exhaust.

I don't think so. I think it is only the body kit and wheels. I wish it did for the 6k MB asks for it. The S is too quiet and would benefit from a valved exhaust like the AMG models.

MB is not trying to be sporty like BMW with their S-Class (unless AMG). So no performance exhaust. The coupe has dynamic flaps when in Sport mode. I like it that way...

Seems to me if I remember the exhaust was dual outlet but only "one" functioning exhaust at idle or low speeds.

My 450 I believe is true dual.

We are all different. In a huge luxury “saloon” like the W222, I want it to be elegant and as quiet as possible all of the time. My S560 delivers such in spades. I have a 2013 SL550 that I bought CPO. The previous owner had SL63 resonators installed. I didn’t like it at first, but the slight growl at start up is pretty cool and when I stomp on it (something I rarely do), it ROARS! To me, such sounds belong in sports cars, not in big, luxury sedans.

i don't think there's anything special about my AMG package S550 when it comes to the exhaust - i think it's the same as the non-AMG appearance package.
frankly, i have a pretty hard time telling the difference between the AMG package and non package. if i was ordering i wouldn't have gotten it - i know folks really like it - to me i'd rather save the $6,000 or if i wanted to hit a target price i'd have bought magic sky control (which i can't really justify either).
i'd really like MBC, and THAT i'd pay for - but not at the expense of 4WD

not sure what you mean. They are all dual exhausts. No such thing as a single side exhaust in an S-class except a diesel
