How to attach bungee cords to the rings in trunk?

I would like to attach bungee cords to the rings in the trunk. But the cords are too thick to be attached. What would be a good locution?

I recently spent some time trying to find a floor-style cargo net for my S550 coupe. The trunk tie down attachments need loops, not hooks, so I had to find a cargo net that had bungee loops at the corners vs. hooks.

Perhaps you can find small bungee loops and then loop your thicker bungee cord through the loop (unless your bungee cord has hooks, in which case just hook to the loop). For example, an Amazon search finds these and they look thin enough to wrap around the trunk tie downs:
  1. Amazon Amazon
  2. Amazon Amazon

Have you tried just using some duct tape or gorilla tape? Seems obvious.
