New Michelin Pilot Sport 4s to noisy - advice on quiet tires?
Can someone suggest some options that may ride more quiet?
TireRack said I can return the tires but they have to be exchanged for Michelin or Goodrich tires.

However, the grip of the tires are outstanding. I was on a trip and when I hit the canyons the car turned and felt so planted for such a heavy car. It was an amazing and I felt confident driving the car. That's the main positive from the tires.
I think for those that have the 20 inch AMG wheels are limited to the tires we can get in terms of comfort. I have looked at TireRack several times and it still seems that the Michelin P4S are still the best tires we can get.

Key features of the new PureContact LS include:
- 10% improvement in Wet Traction and 23% improvement in wear over the PureContact - EcoPlus Technology
- A 50% reduction in noise over the PureContact
- Traction Grooves specifically designed for snow performance
- Quick View Indicators:
- Tuned Performance Indicators enable the driver to see when the tire is no longer performing optimally in Dry, Wet or Snow conditions
- Alignment Verification System shows the driver when it’s time for an alignment

One aspect I learned from Consumer Reports is that old tires may get slightly better MPG than new ones simply because they have worn down enough to imitate fuel efficient tires.

I'll wait til the P4S wears out and see what other option there will be at that time. But, these tires are definitely not quiet.
