7’s arent selling.
if I am leasing an S Class or a 7 series, I think leasing an M760 for $1900 month with zero down would be more appealing than leasing an S560 for the same (or more) money. I would choose the V12.

1) Trickle down technology/luxury from their flagships to their mid-tier sedans is cannibalizing sales of the flagship. I suspect this is why, here in Canada, I cannot buy a mid tier car with acoustic glass, and this remains in the flagship. For picky customers like me, they know that if they start putting in acoustic glass in the mid tier cars that I have no reason to buy the flagship.
2) I'm 30 now, and now have the financial resources to buy a flagship. I am part of the few (not bragging, I'm just saying) that are in Gen Y that can afford a flagship. Gen X is now approaching retirement, and is slowly leaving the workforce. Therefore, I guess that they have no need for a flagship anymore, and it's probably time to start cutting expenses
3) The good ol' - sedan -> SUV shift, and those who may buy an A8, as an example, would now buy a Q8, and a S class to a GLS, as an example.
