Need advice on tires
I have a staggered set up on my 2014 S550 with run flat tires. Given that one rear tire was replaced due to an issue, I now have one rear tire with 2/32" tread, and the other with 5/32" tread. Of course both tires will need to be replaced. The front tires are fine with plenty of tread (8/32).
I am considering replacing the two rear tires with regular tires (not run flats) - they are cheaper, last longer, and will probably improve the ride. Also, it's hard to find the run flats in stock in any case. My thoughts were to keep slime in the car along with a compressor. I could also use the run-flat with the 5/32" tread left as a spare in the trunk if I am going out of town.
Does this sound like a good idea? Is it OK to replace just the rears with regular tires and not all four? I am probably going to get rid of the car within 18 months (before the extended warranty runs out).
Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

What diameter is your rim?
First of all, mixing and matching run flats is not something I would do. RFTs rebound very drastically different than non run flats due to their reinforced sidewall. Quite frankly, I'd rather mix speed tire ratings and load ratings than mixing RFTs with non RFTs.
Anyways, if it is the 19" rim which is what I'm getting, I would just replace all 4 with Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires.
