Trunk closing problem fixed

The new latch from MB arrived at my dealer yesterday morning and was installed in about 20 minutes yesterday afternoon when I brought my S450 in. The trunk closes every time I try it now.

Thanks for letting us know! Without your post in the other thread I would not even know that a solution has been found. The way my dealer treats me is really annoying.
After my SA never got back to me in 3 weeks, I drove there, changed my SA and finally could order the part. Let's hope for the best I am so over it with the trunk issue.

My S560 had the same issue. I couldn’t close the trunk. My service advisor ordered the trunk latch and called
me to drop off the car. I picked it up next day.
