Best way to mask brake dust is to use wheels with grey accents!

They did not do anything with mine as the whine is not so obvious. I'm assuming it will get louder and when it does they will address it.

You are so right on this. It's really scary because it waits so long before applying the breaks. I also override this feature when approaching stopped traffic. I have no idea why they designed it this way.

Distronic doesn't work with stopped traffic. The radar can't tell if it's a car stopped ahead or a building at the end of a curve.

No, brakes, like tires are wear and tear items and are not included in any Mercedes prepaid plans.

I never had the B...s to let it get that close. I use Distronic+ when ever I get the chance.. Due to the fact that it is not designed to sense stopped traffic from far back, I never use it for that.. It will use accident avoidance / emergency braking, but not meant for Distronic adaptive cruse If it is tracking slower vehicles ahead, it is fine. Also, there are some YouTube videos showing the scalss does NOT stop in time when traveling at speeds over 40 with stopped vehicle ahead of it. ( that test box dummy for rear collision testing ) It will reduce the damage by slowing down considerably, but not stop in time. Mercedes Sclass is one of the few cars that Failed this test. Also, tires, tire pressure, road type, weather all play into this.

I just completed the 20k service B two weeks ago and my front pads were at 3mm. Had to get them replaced. Seems pretty normal but shocked that they do not last longer.
