Miltown, That is basically how my '16 S550 C4 and my previous CL500 work although the heater doesn't go all the way off but stays on 1 light after reaching a warm temperature. I always figured it did that to prevent burning anything in the seat/heater system or my posterior.

yeah...was at the dealer getting an inspection and that’s how it is on Mercedes. Never had another car that did this with their heated seats.

Been driving my car in Sport Mode only for the last week... fuel efficiency seems far better now. It's kinda weird....
