Ride Quality
Hi everyone,
I have decided to switch the rims on my 2018 S560 and go with the Forged AMG S63. The AMG Wheel size for the front is 255 instead of 245 for S560 and Rear is 285 instead of 275 so I need to get new tires too. Does this change impacts on the ride quality ? Please share your thoughts .
Thank you

Technically, you could get your current tires to fit as they remain in the window of what the wheels will take. Note that tires come in 10mm increments (245->255). 10mm is about 40% of an inch whereas wheels come in 1/2 inch increments, and because of sidewall flex, a wheel of a given width (say) 8.5" wheel will be happy with 215-to-245 with tires.
Air pressure and alignments do much to help or harm ride quality. I prefer the tires on the higher pressure side of things as the car feels more responsive at the steering whell. Others may like the smoother response to bumps in the road of factory or lesser air pressures.
