S550 Bluetooth Mic Audio Stops Working

S550 Bluetooth Mic Audio stops working after about 5 - 10 minutes on a call.

I have a 2015 S550 (which I absolutely love). I use an iPhone Xs Max with the MB bluetooth. Everything seems to work fine when connected except after about 5 - 10 minutes on a call, the MB bluetooth mic seems to stop working and the party on the other end can't hear me. I can still hear them but they don't hear me. The only way to fix is to turn the car off and restart or turn the iPhone bluetooth off and back on. In the meantime, to avoid the frustration, I've deactivated bluetooth in COMAND.

What's really crazy is I previously owned an '09 SL550 with an iPhone 7 (and later an iPhone X) and it did the exact same thing.

Is this an Apple issue or MB issue?
Has anyone experienced this issue or have any thoughts on how to resolve?

Anytime I have Bluetooth issues, I delete the bluetooth connection on both the iPhone and the Car and re-add the iPhone back. "Most" of the time it fixes these problems.

Thanks Warehouser. I’ll give that a try.

I have also had this over the past few months except I have a Galaxy S10.

I have been meaning to erase and repair my phine just havent gotten around to it.

I thought it may be related to my new S10 bc i never had an issue with my S7 but i guess not since you are experiencing issues with Apple

Question, what makes you think its Bluetooth? The positioning of the phone in the car is important. With all the shielding going on, cell signal to the actual phone could be poor.
