2016 S550 Windshield crack
As a former insurance claims adjuster, I can tell you that one single Comprehensive (glass) claim is unlikely to cause a reputable insurer to cancel your policy. You should look at your claims history with your current insurer over the past 3-5 years. If you haven't had any claims where your policy paid out significant damages to either you or a third-party, you shouldn't fear a cancellation due to one single windshield replacement (even if it ends up costing $2500+).
That said, even glass claims do have an ability to stay on your record - my claim for the cracked windshield in mid-2020 is still listed as an "event" on my policy renewals. Whether or not this causes your premiums to increase on the next renewal is dependent on your insurer's underwriting team.

A couple of years ago the company I used for auto insurance told me they'd no longer insure my AMG but would gladly continue to provide for my other cars and my wifes car as well as homeowners insurance. I decided to tell them to fawk off and went with a different company. I used to not even get homeowners but a friend talked me into it. Odin forbid I ever have to make a claim as I know they'll find someway to fawk me over.
It's all a bunch of BS.
